What might bring you here?
Individual counselling can help you explore grief and loss, stress, significant life changes, difficult decisions, repeating relationship experiences and patterns in thoughts, feelings or behaviour.
You do not have to arrive with a diagnosis or a complete account of your circumstances. The first sessions focus on understanding your concerns, relevant background, what has already been tried and what you hope may change.
Working with Jefferson or Katie
Both Jefferson and Katie offer individual counselling. Appointments are generally matched by gender, and we can discuss the most suitable counsellor for you when you enquire.
Jefferson works particularly with men exploring relationships, emotional awareness, identity, life pressures and patterns of behaviour they want to change. He also works with people concerned about pornography use or compulsive sexual behaviour.
Katie also offers individual counselling, including support for stress, anxiety, general wellbeing and relationship concerns. Her main professional focus is now supervising other counsellors, helping them reflect on their work, develop their practice and care for their own wellbeing. She also supports partners affected by sexual betrayal.
How counselling begins
There may be a small number of focused appointments or a longer period of work, depending on your needs. Progress and the direction of counselling can be reviewed as you go. A first appointment does not commit you to an ongoing program.
Individual counselling: 60 minutes, $160–$170. See the first-appointment page for booking details and policies.
